Description

INTRODUCTION:

 E-Health is an emerging field at the intersection of medical informatics, public health, and business, and refers to health services and information delivered or enhanced through the internet or other related technologies. Different e-Health applications have been used across countries corresponding to their health needs and priorities. The main objective of this project is to implement a computer based Healthcare Information System. This system will help the users to identify certain diseases by answering certain questions asked by the system. Based on the diagnosis received the user will be getting some suggestions of the medicines that are available at the local chemist without prescription with an advice to visit the doctor.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

[1] It focusses on the acquisition and management of disease database.

[2] It mainly emphasizes creation and implementation of patient and disease information    

      management system.

[3] It will ease and speed up the planning, decision making process, secure confidential and

      reliable reports.

[4] It helps for addressing problems of security, secrecy and confidentiality of patients.

[5] Used to check the delays, errors, inconsistencies in medical records and access to

      historical records.

[6] To maintain patient profile.

[7] Secure access of confidential data.

 

NON - FUNCTIONAL  REQUIREMENTS:

 [1] User friendly UI for easy interface, so that illiterate patients can also use it.

[2] Execution qualities such as security which are observable at runtime.

[3] Execution qualities such as testability, maintainability and scalability which are embedded

      in the architecture of the software system.

 

REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATIONS

 

HARDWARE REQUIREMENT:

 [1] Client Side: Internet Explorer with suitable size (Minimum 20 MB) of processor RAM and Disk space.

[2] Server Side: WAMP server for development purpose.
